Provide Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
This Course will assist you to develop your knowledge and skills in CPR, a life saving technique used on a person who has experienced sudden cardiac arrest (the cessation of normal circulation of the blood due to failure of the heart to contract effectively). You will also learn to: respond to signs of an unconscious casualty; perform CPR and communicate details of the incident to medical authorities.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This unit applies to all workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. Specific licensing /regulatory requirements relating to this competency, including requirements for refresher training should be obtained from the relevant national/state/territory Work Health and Safety Regulatory Authorities.

This course will be delivered in a one eight hour day, face-to-face training session at one of the Biphasic's training centres or at a mutually convenient and suitable location.
